1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions and other paid digital services purchased through Crossbound.eu, operated by Reaching Expatations.
Payments are processed through Stripe, which may act as the merchant of record for eligible transactions. Stripe manages the relevant payment transaction and administers refunds in accordance with its applicable procedures and the rights of the customer.
This Policy does not remove or limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
2. Subscription cancellations
Crossbound subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis according to the plan and billing interval selected at checkout.
You may cancel your subscription through the available subscription-management facility or by following the cancellation instructions provided with your purchase. If you cannot access the relevant facility, contact legal@reachingexpatations.com for assistance.
Unless the checkout or applicable plan terms state otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals and allows you to retain access to paid features until the end of the current paid billing period.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for a payment already made.
3. General refund policy
Except where required by law or expressly agreed otherwise, subscription fees are not refundable merely because you decide not to use the service, stop using your account or cancel after a billing period has begun.
We may nevertheless consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis, including where:
- You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- You were charged after a cancellation had taken effect.
- A technical problem attributable to Crossbound materially prevented you from accessing the paid service and could not reasonably be resolved.
- A payment was made in error.
- A refund is required by applicable consumer law.
We may request reasonable information to investigate the circumstances of a request.
4. Legal right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal, you may be entitled to withdraw from your purchase within the applicable legal period, commonly 14 days for qualifying online contracts.
The applicable rules depend on the type of service purchased and the circumstances of the transaction.
For digital content or digital services, the right of withdrawal may be affected if you expressly request or consent to performance beginning during the withdrawal period and acknowledge the applicable consequences, where permitted by law.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive a statutory right of withdrawal or other mandatory consumer protection.
If you wish to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, contact us promptly at legal@reachingexpatations.com and follow any applicable instructions supplied by Stripe.
5. Service problems
If Crossbound is unavailable, materially defective or does not provide a paid feature as described, please contact legal@reachingexpatations.com with a description of the issue.
Where reasonably appropriate, we may attempt to resolve the problem, restore access or provide another remedy. Refunds and other remedies remain subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the issue.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory rights relating to digital services that do not conform to the contract.
6. Refunds for affiliate purchases
Purchases made through an affiliate link or referral code are subject to the same refund principles as other purchases, unless a specific promotion clearly states otherwise and the different treatment is lawful.
If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the related affiliate commission may be reversed or withheld in accordance with the affiliate programme terms.
An affiliate is not authorised to promise a refund, override this Policy or bind Crossbound to special refund terms unless we have expressly authorised that arrangement.
7. How refunds are processed
Where a refund is approved or required, the refund will be coordinated with Stripe, which processes refunds for transactions handled through its service.
Refunds are generally returned through the original payment method, subject to the payment provider's procedures and any applicable legal requirements.
The time it takes for funds to appear in your account may depend on your payment method and financial institution.
Please do not send payment card details by email when requesting a refund.
8. How to request a refund
To request a refund or ask a question about a charge, contact:
Email: legal@reachingexpatations.com
Please include the email address associated with your account, the approximate transaction date and sufficient information to identify the purchase. Do not include full payment card numbers or security codes.
For transactions processed by Stripe, you may also use the customer support or transaction-management facilities provided with your purchase.
9. Chargebacks and suspected fraud
If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us or Stripe using the relevant support details so the transaction can be investigated.
We may investigate suspected payment fraud, referral abuse or misuse of promotional offers. Any restriction of service will be proportionate and subject to applicable law.
This section does not prevent you from exercising any rights available through your bank, payment provider or applicable law.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy to reflect changes in our services, payment arrangements or legal obligations.
The version published on Crossbound.eu at the time of the relevant purchase will generally apply, subject to mandatory legal requirements and any applicable contractual terms.
